New in PT 3.4: Real Time Effects using Core Image
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger comes with a new real time image processing technology, called Core Image, which delivers dozens of image effects in real time or near real time (depending on the CPU and video card).
Use these filters, animated background generators, and stylizer as PhotoTunnel animations. Set their parameters and even animate their parameters directly from the PhotoTunnel inspector. Manipulate any number of images and videos at the same time.
Core Image is supported on all Macs, the real fun however starts when using it on a video card supporting Core Image hardware acceleration. (Note for NVidia FX5200 users: Mac OS X does not support hardware acceleration for Quartz Compositions, but software rendering.)
New in PT 3.4: Custom Real Time Effects using Quartz Composer
Each copy of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger ships with an app called "Quartz Composer". Use Quartz Composer to compose your very own real time effects, and include them into your PhotoTunnel project.
New in PT 3.3: Media Frames
Make your images and movies nicer by putting them in different frames. Choose from several ones that come with PT, or you can create your own frames and use them in PT.
