Meatless meat is coming! Sounds weird right. Well, it’s true, lab-grown meat is here to save the animals or would we say creating fake ones…?

You wanna know more about this so called meat? No, it’s not beef, it’s not chicken and it’s not pork. For starters, it’s grown in a lab, which means it’s cruelty-free! No more feeling guilty about eating animals. The Agriculture Department, FDA and USDA recently approved the production and sale of lab-grown meat for the first time. So, it’s not just science fiction anymore!

Lab-grown meat is more sustainable, which means you can eat as much of it as you want without worrying about harming the environment with excess carbon dioxide from livestock and greenhouse gas emissions.

It’s not quite vegetarian, but it’s not exactly meat either. It’s like a hybrid between the two. So, if you’re a vegetarian or vegan who misses the taste and texture of true meaty burgers, this might be the perfect solution for you. Karma free eats is here people! But, is this conventional beef production?

One of the biggest concerns about lab-grown meat is that it’s not clear which food safety federal agency will oversee it and how energy-intensive this process may be. But hey, who needs regulation when you have a real scientist cooking up your ingredients for you?
All jokes aside, this could actually be revolutionary for the food industry and possibly even help with climate change. Right now it takes a lot of money and time to grow but cultivated meat companies like Upside Foods and Good Meat are working hard to make sure that lab-grown meat is just as delicious as the real thing, and better than beyond meat. This will hopefully be brought to consumers at a normal price as alternative proteins full of “great” nutrients and vitamins.

Lab-grown meat could be the future of food. Whether you’re a vegetarian, a meat-lover, or just someone who wants to try something new, lab-grown meat is definitely worth a try. Let’s cross our fingers that the next “meat” they make are some good ol’ chicken nuggets so the chicken comes before the egg… Who knows, you might just love it more than animal meat!
